When fiancé Frank Lampard found out he would be missing out on a place in England's Euro 2012 squad, Christine did what any loving WAG would do, by whisking him off on holiday and making sure she packed a very skimpy bikini.
And no doubt thoughts of playing in the Ukraine were a distant dream for Frank as the pair holidayed on the Italian Rivera.
What a WAG! Christine shows off her toned body in a burnt red bikini which ensured she wouldn't get any annoying tan lines
With Christine soaking up the sun in a skimpy bikini the pair showed they were very much in love with a very public display of affection in the pool.
But showing that she really is in the premier league Christine took Frank to watch England beat Sweden in their first win of the tournament.
The couple have endured endless speculation over the date and location of their big day since TV presenter Christine announced her engagement to the Chelsea player a year ago.
Christine, 33, even had to deny a persistent rumour that they had offered to pay several couples to rearrange their weddings so she and Frank could secure a date and venue this summer.
A spokesman for Frank told the The Sunday Mail's Katie Nicholl: ‘There never were any plans for a wedding this year, nor have we made any plans for next year.’
Christine is telling friends that moving into their newly refurbished home is her and Frank’s priority. ‘Their focus is moving into the house in August,’ says a source close to the couple.
Frank will be flying to America to play with Chelsea soon, so the plan now is to get married when there’s more time.’ Friends say that the couple are blissfully happy together.
Frank, also 33, bought the £8 million townhouse in Chelsea seven years ago – and has ploughed a further £800,000 into a lavish refurbishment that includes an underground pool.
Former Daybreak presenter Christine told Closer magazine earlier this month about their wedding plans.
She said: ‘The truth is we’ve planned very little and nothing is set in stone. That being said, of course me and Frank are really looking forward to it.’
