It's been just a year since they charmed us with their impossibly attractive pairing, and already Gangster Squad is bringing us round two.

But this time, it's an entirely different game that the comely pair are playing.

The year is 1949 and Gosling is LAPD officer Jerry Wooters and Stone is gangster's moll Grace Faraday.

'You want to take me away from all this,' Stone purrs to Gosling in her '40s finery.

The film focuses on the LAPD's attempts to keep east coast crime families out of LA.
